ABOUT US

We are the Operations Management and Logistics (OpLog) research group from CEGIST, the Centre for Management Studies of IST. We focus our research on developing sound theoretical concepts in supply chains, logistics and operations management, supported by novel engineering systems models and techniques with a close connection with the industry. Currently the group is comprised of twenty researchers, combining faculty members and PhD students. We are located at the IST Campus of Tagus Park.

The research group was founded in 2012 and since then has had many public and private partnerships. In this website you can learn more about our areas of expertise and previous projects.

Operations management

Design and planning of industrial processes; Scheduling of Continuous and Batch Operations; Sustainable Process Synthesis and Design; Routing.

Life cycle assessment

Expertise in Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), Social Life Cycle Assessment (S-LCA) - Sustainability.
